Concept

Travel like you live there.

HIMOROGI offers entire-home rentals designed to make your travel base feel like "your own place."
Beyond the door, it becomes "your home" for today.

Step out to explore, then return, slip off your shoes, and take a deep breath. Rather than filling your itinerary, you may find yourself wanting to slow down and live to the rhythm of the land.

Perhaps it is a place where you can sense the sea beyond a pine grove. Or a place where the mountain ridgelines and the wide-open sky feel simply refreshing. Step onto the deck and, before you know it, people naturally gather by the fire—and after the sauna, you will want to breathe in the open air.

Not to add more destinations to your trip, but to deepen the time you spend.
HIMOROGI is a place created for that purpose.

About HIMOROGI
Private Space
01

An entire home, all to yourselves.
At your own pace.

A private space reserved exclusively for you, with the entire home at your disposal. One person may be preparing a drink in the kitchen while another quietly watches the sky from the deck. Sharing the same space while each person spends time at their own pace—that is part of what makes it so special. There is no need to worry about the room next door, and no chance encounters with other guests in a lobby. Here, the greatest luxury is the freedom to truly relax—without having to be mindful of anyone else.

Rich Location
02

A diverse range of locations
across Kyushu.

In the morning, if you feel like it, you can easily head out into town. And yet, the moment you return, a welcoming view awaits. HIMOROGI will continue to gradually expand these bases across Kyushu. Some offer ocean views, while others feature uplifting mountain vistas. The unique atmosphere of each destination naturally elevates the mood of your stay.

Around the Bonfire
03

Simply gathering around the fire
turns your travel nights into lasting memories.

Even without anything elaborate, the evening of a trip can feel completely different. Simply watching the same fire together seems to slow time down a little. The sizzle as food cooks, the steam rising into the air, plates passed from hand to hand—everything naturally comes together and invites conversation.

Grill ingredients you picked up locally and pour your favorite drink. It is not so much about dining outdoors as it is about savoring the time spent around the fire—an experience that becomes a feast in itself.

Relax in the Sauna
04

Relax and reset—whenever you like,
as often as you like.

A sauna feels best when the moment is right. When you think, “Now,” you can simply step in and sweat for as long as you like—this ease and flexibility are among the greatest advantages of a private, entire-home rental. Warm up in a sauna room still fragrant with wood, then reset with cool water outdoors. As you breathe in the fresh air, your mind clears and your view seems to open up. Rather than “fitting in” a sauna session between sightseeing stops, you can make the time you spend unwinding part of the journey itself. That is the HIMOROGI experience.

Our Philosophy

A Space of Tranquility

What the name “HIMOROGI” represents.

“Himorogi” (神籬) refers to a sacred space prepared to welcome the divine. It is not the grandeur of what is built, but the atmosphere you feel the moment you step into it. We want HIMOROGI to be that kind of place—a space filled with light, where the breeze moves through, and the presence of wood can be felt. Not flashy, but quietly restorative. That is the wish we have placed in our name.

The Warmth of Wood

Environmental responsibility that supports comfort.

At HIMOROGI, we incorporate practical measures to reduce our environmental impact wherever possible. Our buildings utilize a timber unit construction method (CLT CELL UNIT) using domestically sourced wood. Box-shaped modules made from wooden panels are assembled with inspiration drawn from traditional Japanese joinery concepts—one approach being to minimize the use of metal fittings as much as possible. The HIMOROGI logo is also inspired by the shape of this joinery detail (the dovetail joint).
